I totally agree with you.
Actually I was thinking about this the same way as you are since I was in Form 1. Subjects like Sejarah should be taken off our academic scheme.
Sejarah only lure students to copy from their friends, especially during exercises in class, where teachers will be giving those 60 questions exercise sheets. 50% of my class copy from each other I think, and guess what. It's the first class, baby. Not to mention myself too.
All those memorising, especially cracking our heads to remember those long malay names which registers a big headache whenever I try to. Why should we learn about the past. We should be trying our best to prepare for the future. What has gone, let it be gone.
Geography is another thing. They should really 'internationalize' this subject. We are basically learning Malaysian geography which is so boring. And we can't get a full, learned view of the rest of the world. There's a lot more to learn outside there!
SERIOUSLY,
Malaysia should imitate the Singapore style of studying. Which is, obviously, studying for the greater good.
I'M THE SECOND TO JOIN THIS CAMPAIGN. NO MORE USELESS MALAYSIAN EXAMS!
